Worship – The Abundance of the Shared World with Rev. Elizabeth Weber

The dominant culture in America tries to tell us that there isn’t enough to go around. That if you get yours, I can’t get mine. But we know this is a ruse. Instead, let’s explore how we can cultivate a spirit of abundance and build a world where all people have enough. Womanist scholar Dr. Keri Day offers her theology of sufficiency as one model to draw on.

This week’s service will be multi-platform: onsite, as well as on Zoom and Facebook.

To join us online via Zoom, click here. If joining us by phone via Zoom:

Dial 1 312 626 6799 or 1 646 876 9923 and enter Meeting ID: 953 8114 7453 and Passcode: 869000 at prompts.

This service will be recorded and/or live-streamed to Facebook. If you do not want to be included in the recording, please turn off your camera, mute your microphone, and change your name to “MVUUF” (these are all Zoom options once you join the meeting).

Rev. Liz Weber (she/her) is the Minister at First Unitarian Church of Louisville, in Kentucky, and a HOPE for Us conflict transformation coach with the UUA. Liz, or Elizabeth as she’s known here at home, grew up in the Fellowship. She is always glad to be back! Elizabeth previously ministered in congregations and hospitals around Boston. Before seminary, she was an American Sign Language interpreter. Elizabeth loves walks in the woods, chocolate, and good dogs. She believes that all dogs are good dogs. Cats, too.
