Ever wonder what is so “terrible” about the books that are being banned in various schools around the country? Beginning September 18th we’re starting a book club in order to discover for ourselves. After all, it really does take a community to make decisions for ALL of our children ….. or does it? Let’s share the opportunity to get together and make up our own minds about what we want our children to learn about …. or not.

With the exception of THIS MONTH, we’ll meet on Zoom for the 4th Monday of every month in the evenings from 7:00-8:30 PM (this month we’re meeting on the 3rd Monday to avoid conflicting with the Discernment Conversations). Our 1st book will be The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. This book has been a #1 NY Times Bestseller and won several awards for excellence. It has also been banned several times in various school districts around the country.
